Shimano is the market leader in bicycle components. In your Shimano Service Centre you will get genuine Shimano parts fitted when your bike is repaired for a fully functioning, totally integrated riding experience. Whatever bike you ride, a Shimano Service Centre will keep your pedals turning and your wheels pointing in the right direction.
Here at Ps Cycles we offer a comprehensive service including a thorough check–over and component adjustment. We recommend that your bike should have an interim service every 3–9 months, depending on how often you use it.

servicing plan, (4 services max) (Parts excluded.)

We cover the following:

Frame & forks inspected for alignment and damage

Headset inspected for play and adjusted

Bottom bracket inspected for play and adjusted

Check and lubricate chain

Transmission components inspected for wear, re–lubricated, re–tightened and checked for performance

Check operation of gear shifting

Inspect gear mechanisms for wear and alignment

Set gear stops and adjust indexing

Inspect pedals for wear and damage

Gear cables replaced and adjusted (cost of inner cables not included)

Brake cables replaced and adjusted (cost of inner cables not included)

Rims, hubs, spokes and tyres checked for damage and wear

Hub bearings checked for play and adjusted

Wheels trued and spokes re-tensioned

Tyres checked for cuts and abrasions and inflated to correct pressure

Inspect forks, check for worn bushing and oil leaks and adjust pre–load to correct sag

Inspect rear suspension unit, check mounting brushes and eyes for wear*

Check set-up of bike for rider

Wheel Building is our Speciality : Bmx, Xc, Downhill, Road (Laced)
We have been building wheels for 30 years now and can cater for all your needs.
Nomally we can build within the day ready for you to pickup later.
All our wheels are totally hand built from the first spoke to the final true. We only use the finest quality components from Shimano, Hope and Mavic together with top quality spokes from Sapin and DT Swiss.
Build time
The downside of our popularity for wheels is the build time, we try and keep this within 2-3 days but will always advise if any longer.
Sorry you can't rush perfection!!
What's included
We often get asked what you get with a pair of wheels and to clarify the main points we get asked about here's some help.
Do I get skewers, yes with Shimano hubs but not with hope hubs, hope skewers can be purchased separately or you can use any other brand of skewer.
Do they include the freehub body, yes all hubs include the rear freehub body, the current Shimano and Hope hubs will take a 8 or 9 speed cassette as standard.
Do I need rim tape, yes for all rims tapes are required, as Mavic do not supply them you need to purchase them separately.
What spokes do I need?
For all our XC wheels we use Sapin stainless steel double butted as standard,
these offer excellent strength and reliability.
For downhill and heavy duty wheels DT plain gauge stainless steel spokes, these are the strongest available.
You can upgrade to other spokes in our drop down options list when purchasing.
As a guide here are the options and there appropriate use.
Sapin double butted black, for any XC wheels where you like the look of black spokes.
DT Comp, a higher grade stainless steel double butted spoke suitable for XC or freeride use.
DT Comp black, as the DT Comp but black for the customer who want the all black wheel look.
DT Revolution, a very lightweight double butted spoke, ideal for when you require a special set of lightweight XC wheels. Not recommended for Freeride or Downhill use.
DT Revolution black, as DT Revolution but black.
